The Lame begger

The beggar was sitting at the entrance of the temple waiting to receive handouts. It was considered a good thing to do to give money to beggars. Peter and John said look at me. Why did they say look at me? Their faith was so strong that they walked up to a man who had never walked, grabbed him by the hand and lifted him up to walk in Jesus name. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and sure of His powers. Imagine what a fool he would have looked like if the man just sat there. He followed them into the temple praising God. He recognized it was of God and not of man. All this was done for Gods glory as the people saw him praising God. How does this apply to our lives today?

Peters second sermon.

Peter used this opportunity to rub in the fact that Jesus the one you had killed. The one who you disowned and had a murderer (Barnabas) released instead (Luke 23). Peter does this a lot in Acts especially before the councils he reminds them they killed Jesus.

After all this he tells the people you acted in ignorance and if you repent you can still have salvation.

  1. 20-26 Peter talks about the coming of Jesus and proof He is the savior.
